👣 Bróga Óir Sizing Guide
We’ve made a few updates since the first and second release of our Bróga 250 Editions, including improvements to the fit and feel of the leather. The new design uses a softer, higher-quality leather that moulds quickly to your feet as you dance.
✨ Recommended Sizing
Bróga Óir fits slightly different to other brands of Soft Shoes, and we advise that you read these instructions carefully to ensure you get and understand what makes a shoe the right size for you.
We advise that you sit with your new Bróga's on your feet before dancing in them.
Our leather is soft on purpose but this means that they do stretch quite quickly. Your shoe should be tight and your toes slightly bent in the toe box but the heel should go onto your foot.
Sit with the shoe on for 30 mins and then re-lace and they will feel just right. You will be uncomfortable at first and think they're too small, TRUST OUR PROCESS.
This is so they can stretch to and mould to your foot.
Here’s what we recommend:
- We would advise your usual shoe size - what size trainers/sneakers you wear in UK size...
- Example: If you normally wear a size UK3, we recommend ordering a size 3 in Bróga Óir.
- If you have WIDE FEET we would recommend sizing up 0.5
- If you have NARROW FEET we would recommend sizing down 0.5
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch
Why this differrence matters:
Brógas are crafted from a softer, premium leather, meaning they will stretch slightly and mould perfectly around your feet as you dance.
- The more often you wear your shoes, the faster they will mould and the more they will give.
- This is why it’s better to start with a snug fit, the shoes will soften and adjust naturally with wear.
If you’re between sizes, we always recommend choosing the smaller size for the best long-term fit.
What If They Don’t Fit?
We get it—it’s hard to know until you try them on. That’s why we offer:
- Easy returns
- Friendly support from real dancers
- Advice you can trust (because we've been there too)
🔄 Between sizes or unsure?
If your current shoes are snug but not painful → stick to the same size
If you like a firm, competition-ready feel → go down half a size (may need to sit and break in before wear)
If your foot is still growing → stick to your usual size and let the leather naturally stretch
